Chinese Green Beans

Chinese Green Beans

Chinese green beans are so good. Here is a very simple recipe. If you want it spicy, add a tablespoon of chili garlic sauce when adding in the other sauces. Great for a quick weeknight meal.

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 lb green beans, washed and trimmed
6 oz ground beef
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
1 tablespoon ginger, minced
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce

Preparation:

Heat a large wok or sauté pan over medium high heat and then add the vegetable oil. When hot, add in garlic and ginger and sauté for 1 minute, then add in ground beef and sauté until cooked through – about 5 minutes. Then add in hoisin and soy sauce and green beans and cook for another 5 minutes. Taste for seasoning, adding some salt or more soy sauce if needed. Serve hot with steamed rice.
