Wow! This is such an amazing restaurant. We have been a big fan of Chef Stephanie Izard since her season on Top Chef, so when we were in Chicago as a family, rather than for business alone, we had to go to her restaurant, The Girl and the Goat. Let me just say, that it was so worth every dollar and every bite. We couldn’t get a reservation, so we just showed up and took a seat at the bar/lounge with our kids. They were equally as happy and my daughter insisted on getting a fun t-shirt as a souvenir.
We had the wood grilled broccoli, lamb empanadas, wood oven roasted pig face, bucatini with milk braised pork shoulder and pickled cape gooseberries (OMG-where have these been all my life???). SO GOOD! You must go when you are in Chicago.
